The International Fragrance Association (IFRA) and the International Organization of the Flavor Industry (IOFI) are proud to announce the launch of the IFRA-IOFI Sustainability Charter 2.0.
Building on the strong foundation of the original Charter, version 2.0 reflects the collective ambition of 161 signatory companies to raise the bar on sustainability across the flavour and fragrance industries.
What's New in Charter 2.0
The updated Charter strengthens commitments across all five Focus Areas — from Responsible Sourcing and Environmental Footprint to Well-being of Employees, Product Safety, and Transparency.
Key updates include:
- A revised set of 17 Commitments with clearer expectations and measurable indicators
- Enhanced guidance on Scope 3 GHG emissions and science-based targets
- Strengthened human rights due diligence requirements aligned with the EU CSDDD
- New reporting alignment with GRI Standards and the UN SDGs
Third Sustainability Report
Alongside Charter 2.0, IFRA and IOFI have published the 3rd IFRA-IOFI Sustainability Report, benchmarking signatory progress across all Commitments.
